The Jamboree on the Air is the largest Scouting event in the world. In 2010, the World Scouting Movement reported that over 700,000 Scouts were involved operating from nearly 6,000 stations around the world. It takes place on the third weekend of October each year.

Radio Scouting is the general term used to describe all the activities connecting amateur radio and Scouting. These include the Radio Merit Badge, fox hunting, as well as making radio contacts with other Scouts locally and around the world.

K2BSA has operated at every National Jamboree since 1977. You can see the history of its operation on this website. It will also be in operation at the 2013 National Jamboree at the Summit in West Virginia.
